this week the latest issue of cloth, paper, scissors
hit the shelf...lo and behold!a fabulous torso by beryl taylor
is gracing the cover!it just so happened that we had
a workshop already planned with a similar idea...
well, what fun and how serendipitous is that?!
the "pink" torso on the right is one that i created for
a local breast cancer fundraiser a few years ago and
is now part of pat brewer's private collection,on temporary
loan to rock,paper,scissors in st.charles,mo. .
the tiny torso(ctr) is the class sample, using bits and pieces to
create the skirt!
what a blast we had!creating with like minded friends is
so good for the soul! our friend, ellen, popped in and surprised
us!she sat down and whipped up a wonderful, fluffy, airy
wrist embellishment/hair ornament/tutu whimsey thingy...
without batting an eye!
it was so great to have the very talented corey in the workshop
with us this week, thanks to maddy her lovely "shopgirl" firstborn
for maning the station!
michel,always a delight,always an inspiration,always wonderful!
linda,sparky,linda...so fun,so free,so creatively willing!
and what a treat to have so many friends stop by to see what we were up to,
like i said...sooo good for the soul!
at the end of the day we all decided that corey should add a shingle to her sign,
saying "get your creative therapy HERE!"
thanks everybody xo
